Working Job Versions

This page contains my recommended job versions, including known glitches and bugs; recommended settings; and other advisories for hosts and participants. (Newer version of these jobs may have been published, but many will be broken. Don’t host newer versions in playlists unless you have tested them first.)

Note: This page doesn’t tell you much about the jobs themselves. It is primarily intended as a reference for playlist hosts familiar with them. More info about each job can be found at its Social Club page.

UPDATE: Bum is removing most non-alphanumeric characters from his job names. This appears to fix playlist orders not saving correctly! Job version updates no longer contain full stops, e.g. v24 = version 2.4. The “Bum’s” prefix is being replaced by “By Bum” at the end of job names, or totally absent from the title itself.

Also, Bum has recently published multiple new jobs recently. As a general rule, these job versions are broken or otherwise disfunctional. Bum will advise when working versions have been published, via this page and/or the Bum Fun Discord server.

I will eventually add a contents section here. For now, you can always use Ctrl + F 😀 .

Wail Trail v2.4(A)
Arena version (v24A): https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/i74LtBPw3Em2w0BzGvI2lg
Non-Arena version (v24): https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/-YqX9YbxlU-viPYYDii3Cw
Most vehicles selectable version (v2.0): https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/mLhDqXjOLEmGWB4X9M6Jlw

Updated 25th March 2023
Bum’s rating: 8/10. Race around the higher parts of the Quarry with ice sections, featuring Dunes. Playable as both legitimate rally and ramming races, but better (IMO) for ramming. Three versions are available: 2.4A features the Arena War lighting and commentary, and Bum’s preferred version. 2.4 (no “A”) is the same without the Arena War features, and may be preferable for people with potato/toaster PCs. 2.0 is the same track version with most vehicles selectable.

Version notes:
– 2.4 Arena (24A)
– Vehicle selections have been reduced to the Dune, Sanchez, and another that I can’t remember. A future version will remove the other two vehicles.
– Vehicle orientation at the start is incorrect, though the steep slope and walls make the correct direction obvious
– 2.4 non-Arena (24)
– Locked to the Dune
– Vehicle orientation at the start is incorrect
– 2.0 (Arena)
– Works as intended. Most vehicles can be selected. Ideal for clean racing and rallies

Marina Gey – Bumified OW-TW
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/R5HoWAmdmUmW1GwtcUcAlw

Bum’s rating: 7/10. Still Marina Gey by Yuni (9/10), but marked down due to the issues mentioned below.

This job version will soon receive a substantial update, to address the following issues:
– Pit lane is in the wrong location
– Tire wear gauge is missing

Bumku Schitty GP
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/6yPL-JdmokqhtQYs0ueNtg

Bum’s rating: 8/10. I took DanicaPatrick’s Baku City and adjusted some of the walls. As a general rule, hitting the inside apex prop won’t make you (and everybody behind you) come to a dead stop.

– Starts in non-contact mode. Switches to normal after ~30 seconds.

Bum’s Blown By MTK Sumo
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/nSc00mfLRUW4IJam4ka7-g

Bum’s rating: 8/10. Works as intended.

– MTK’s funnel sumo, with atomizer armed NPCs (actors) for extra “spice”

Tired at Wan Kunope

Bum’s rating: 6/10. Kind of an alpha track version. Narrow at multiple points, which was intended to stop people from falling off the track.

“GP” (actual race) tire wear version of Zancunope. Two versions are available:
– Regular OW tire settings: https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/w7eJrFakPU2VSyB2U8N4eQ
– Altered tire attributes version: https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/w7eJrFakPU2VSyB2U8N4eQ

Note the compound differences:
“Choose from SOFT (high grip corner speeds, but slow accel and awful brakes), MEDIUM (can’t corner and unstable, but good accel and top speeds), and the Prototype version HARD (unstable grip, insanely high top speed and good brakes, but insanely high tire wear). Tire wear is high for ALL cars!”
These compounds are experimental, and not remotely balanced. The Medium compound is popular. Some have said it feels more like an open wheel car than the Rockstar settings.

Notes and warnings:
– The pit lane won’t “instantly fix” your tyres, like most OW versions do. You have to wait for your tires to repair (be “replaced”), just like in a real race
– The pit lane exit checkpoint doesn’t cover the whole pit lane exit. If you exit too close to the fence on the left side, you can miss it
– On the approach to the back hairpin, watch for the light prop sticking out of the wall.

Ginocide v1.c
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/EkwC8CGlKUitUgBk9bqZaw

Bum’s rating: 7/10. Functions mostly as intended.

Set a points target for this job. Otherwise you can spend 4+ minutes waiting for the Ultralight to die. It will sooner or later, because the engine is configured to die.

Known issues
– Once it takes off, the Ultralight is too fast and agile to catch
– Play area ceiling needs to be lowered

Hock-eh v1.1
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/l5bm5YGQA0m_60iKf6atqg

Bum’s rating: 5/10. Has multiple glitches, and doesn’t play like I intended it to.
Use the tank turret to hit the ball into the goals.

Don’t expect an update on this job any time soon. It isn’t as fun as I had hoped.

Known issues:
– Glitched spawns
– Ball can glitch out of the arena
– You start next to the goal you score on. This confuses the hell out of people.

Bumsketball 2.1 Revival
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/1KIC6oJErkqF3kUpbi6qNw

Bum’s rating: 8/10. Works mostly as intended, and one of my favourite minigames.

Known issues:
– Don’t leave your car on its lid. It will die
– Don’t exit your vehicle. It never ends well
– If you die, you will be stuck on the “viewing your dead body” screen. Don’t quit – when the round ends, the next round/job will load as usual.

Steep Pull Haste
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/0u6LU7RkrUS8tomCzBm8Fg

Bum’s rating: 7/10. Steeplechase race mode. Works mostly as intended, but can get boring if the race is set to too many laps or hosted too frequently.

Issues and notes:
– The host should ban all cars that don’t need to wheelie to clear barriers, and any car that can’t wheelie.

Drivin’ Tanked v1.1
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/zBiWupKIAU-6SV39BHTbCQ

Bum’s rating: 6/10. Works as intended.

Heartland Popoleway (Wet v1.3)
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/_Vb8vZlG90awZXdfgpaX4w

Bum’s rating: 7/10. Works as intended.

Enable slipstream and catchup. Ramming is recommended. If you aren’t familiar with this track, use non-custom vehicles.

Tryhard Angles Dune Sumo v2.0
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/EGqGxvazkUuMGPDqwlTxOQ

Bum’s rating: 9/10. Works as intended.

Spawns can be glitchy on occasion, due to limited space. This is caused by the Dunes touching each other upon spawn, resulting in them being bumped off the map.

Zancunope Missile Carnage v8.62
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/xI7pMLvEVU6GkL5ka7oPOA

Bum’s rating: 10/10. When it comes to Missile Carnage races, this is as good as it gets (IMO) 😀

Suggested settings: Use the Open Wheel class. Almost all of the other cars are too easy to hit, due to their speed or size.

Newer versions of this track will make an appearance eventually. As it is, this track has required the most effort to create (more than 200 hours, plus testing).

Known issues:
– People complain about the respawn times, but these are better than in other jobs of the same type. I have spent 50+ hours trying to improve them
– People also complain about the multitude of checkpoints. These exist to enable quicker respawns, and ensure that people don’t get stuck in a frustrating “spawn and get killed before the next checkpoint” loop. To learn the track, look for the signs with pink arrows
– This job is sensitive to changes made by Rockstar during game version updates. We have had weird scenarios, like cars dying but not the occupants. These have been subsequently fixed in later game versions, without me needing to change anything.

Bum’s Island – Supers v1.2
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/_gEl8dSh10-6Roa6U97YpA

Bum’s rating: 8/10, though this map is my most popular job ever.

Issues:
– No sudden death mode. I will add this eventually.

Bum’s Island – Dunes
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/xuBj7QsgmkqElm0W7OZu9g

Bum’s rating: 10/10. This version has a more “random” feel, due to the 50 foot waves and a rapid day night cycle.

Chicken Bum v1.12
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/N4JqflhYgEW0raz7GSfchg

Bum’s rating: 7/10. Works as intended. Arguably the shortest track in GTA.

Footy Fan Funfest v1.0
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/UYc0HEkXqEWlR2yjTi8BPA

Bum’s rating: 8/10. Who doesn’t enjoy beating the shit out of bogan sports fans? X-D

Known issues:
– Bugged scoring. Play this for fun only
– Some people dislike the NPCs with stun guns.

Mini Balls v1.11
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/nhDlYurpVUaMVMsPfH8jEg

Bum’s rating: 8/10. Works as intended, though it could use an 2023 feature update?

Known issues:
– The respawn return ramps can be hard to navigate. Keep trying from different angles. The Phantoms can definitely get up them.

Pantyhose Cove MotorseX v1.0
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/1y5kf-luIEuXtPlDq9bh5A

Bum’s rating: 6/10. Works as intended, but not quite as exciting as I had hoped.

Eight Balls Dune Sumo – Billiard Table v4.6
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/B4HML4W7c0GsJ3HRep-kXw

Bum’s rating: 9/10. Works as intended.

Known issues:
– Can hang between rounds if hosted in a playlist
– This is far more likely to occur in larger lobbies, and if people “celebrate” a win by driving into the pockets

Bum Lovin’ #2 – Rail Disjunction v1.3
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/0e2XBpKBR0-g5Q6YvublFg

Bum’s rating: 7/10. Works as intended, but players are far more likely to rage quit this race than at Zancunope.

Known issues:
– Long respawns in the middle of the circuit
– Dead car bodies can lead to the track crossover point being blocked

Coplifter v1.2
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/AyzcEeUo7ESL1Pgakloukg

Bum’s rating: 7/10. Fun, but this was my first capture based minigame. It lacks many of the features found in more recent or refined minigames.

Known issues:
– If a helicopter explodes in a team’s goal, it can erase the scores of that team
– If a capture vehicle lands upside down, or a falling one knocks another over, it will eventually die and respawn. As a consequence, the team losing that capture point, resulting in their points score going backwards.

Death Duel Dune Sumo – v1.5
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/VC_cGyL3_k-i1vizBR2rOw

Bum’s rating: 7/10. My first sumo map. Works as intended, and has some unique features.

Brough Love Vamos Redemption v1.0
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/1LWGKDAFvUGuw1zvgTHvrQ

Bum’s rating: 7/10. A mission I made in response to Broughy shitting on the Vamos. Note the “camp fires” near each delivery area.

YeetSummit Transdeformed v1.0
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/6zm4gFVqz0-AIiAnePcxDQ

Bum’s rating: 6/10. A bit rough around the edges, because this map wasn’t designed as a race track.

Known issues:
– Players mostly won’t spawn on the start platform. Ask them to die or otherwise respawn ASAP. They will respawn at the correct location
– Some people find it hard to climb the last bit of the mountain, particularly in the Dunes
– Easy to get lost.

Free Candy Wail Trail v1.3 (Snow)
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/Ejne2xZWJ0KuezYnXgaUrQ

Bum’s rating: 8/10. Earlier, non-Arena version of the Wail Trail. GTA mode and car sharing works in this version.

YeetSummit 2 – South Side Slide v2.2
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/job/gtav/L-_LDuPoPEGlKsEBB3lLFQ

Bum’s rating: 8/10. The most popular version of this minigame, even though the newer versions work mostly as intended.

Known issues:
– Players tend to be not aware of the “kill tanks” to the side of each team’s delivery area. These enable a quick return to the top of the map
– Tryhard players sometimes camp at the bottom of the mountain
– Buses sometimes enter the exclusion zone of each team, near their delivery point

Note: More minigames are available on BumB0i’s account. Those are my earliest and mostly shittiest jobs.
